Copyright

If I put lots of effort into making it...

Whenever I get into a discussion about copyright with people, they invariably seem to think that copyright is an evil thing that shouldn’t apply to them, whether they want to copy and paste stuff into a press release, or download music illegally. I think that copyright law, as it stands, is unfit for the digital age, but I still want to have the right to decide how the stuff I make gets used.

I reserve the copyright to the content on this page, but I use Creative Commons licences for most of what I write on The Thursday Briefing and The Social Contract, as well as for many of my photos on Flickr.
