About This Site

This site was written from scratch with the goal of exclusively using standards-based HTML5, CSS, and a dash of JavaScript. Most of the pages are able to be validated with the W3C's online validator, but the Copyright page fails due to the use of RDFa to display machine readble licence information from Creative Commons.

The layout of the site is achieved with CSS alone, and I use LESS and the excellent CodeKit on my computer to speed up development. The Lato typeface by Łukasz Dziedzic is brought in from Google Web Fonts. The responsive layout is based on Ethan Marcotte's book, Responsive Web Design. The quote in the header of the Copyright page is from Creative Commons.
