It is terrifying to think how close you can come to major accidents. Earlier today, I travelled from Manchester to Edinburgh on a Virgin Voyager service. A short time ago, another Virgin train travelling on the same line de-railed. Details still seem to be sketchy, but it does not appear that there have been any fatalities. Hopefully this will not change. What would be most unsettling would be if this was because of a fault in the track. It's just surreal to think that I could have been a passenger on the train. I'll update this post tomorrow when there is some more information on the accident.

My blog has an international audience. Not only has someone in Torbay found their way here, I have had visitors from as far as Beijing and Connecticut! I think this is quite exciting. I didn't know that anyone outside family and a few friends was reading this. It seems to be my Brompton and G8 photo galleries that are attracting people. I think that Opera blogs show up quite well in Google searches.
